New article on denitrification in bioretention systems

Congratulations to Lucas Waller, who just got the first manuscript from his MS thesis published in  Environmental Science & Technology! The article describes a comprehensive field survey of multiple established bioretention cells, which are, among other things, designed to remove nitrogen from stormwater runoff. The objective of Lucas’s research was to determine how much the original design of the system continues to influence the abundance of denitrifying bacteria.
